A friend of the family is an american biographical crime drama miniseries. Based on true events, it follows robert berchtold, who, in the 1970s, sexually abused and twice kidnapped jan broberg. In the 1970s, jan broberg, a young girl from a small town in idaho, was groomed by her older neighbor and kidnapped — not once, but twice in less than two years.
